In Nepal, there are numbers of trekking peaks to climb during the trek within a few days. Among them, while you trek to Everest region you can climb Kongma Tse peak. Kongma Tse peak is also formerly called Mehra Peak , which stands above the Khumbu Glacier opposite Lobuche and is one of several small summits, including Pokalde, that make up the long South-West Ridge of Nuptse, between the Khumbu and Nuptse Glaciers. The usual route to the mountain follows the Everest base camp route until leaving that trail to gain the Imja Valley and the east side of the Kongma La. The primary routes of ascent are from the south and cross several moraines between 2 well marked lakes below the snout of the glacier. Gain the glacier on its western side and find the easiest lines up its true right bank below the South Ridge of the mountain or along its true left bank below the Southeast Ridge. At the head of the glacier, climb broken rocks and snow to gain the south ridge and follow this to the summit.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu and transfar to hotel
Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing(1350m).
Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding.
Day 04: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar.
Day 05: Acclimatization day in Namche bazaar and hiking.
Day 06: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche Monastery.
Day 07: Trek from Tengboche to Dingbuche.
Day 08: Trek from Dingboche to high camp near Kongma La.
Day 09: Climb to Kongma Tse peak.
Day 10: Trek from High Camp to Gorakshep.
Day 11: Climb Kalapattar and/or visit Everest Base Camp.
Day 12: Trek from Gorekshep to Pheriche.
Day 13: Trek from Pheriche to Tengboche.
Day 14: Trek from Tengboche to Namche Bazaar.
Day 15: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla.
Day 16: Fly back from Lukla to Kathmandu.
Day 17: Kathmandu free day
Day 18: Transfer to international airport for departure to destinaton.
| Expenses For Mt. Kongmatse Peak Climb: The cost for Kongmatse expedition will depend on several different factors. The types of accommodation you prefer in Kathmandu and trek to Kongma Tse base camp will make a difference to the overall cost (Budget to 5 star accommodations). The mode of transport you prefer will also affect the cost of your Mehara peak climbing trip, for example prices vary greatly between flying versus private car/van. The size of climbing team as well number of climbing guide and porters required will also affect the total cost of the expedition. For these reasons on the same trip of peak climbing in Nepal can vary in price quite substantially. |
