In Nepal there are several minor peaks open for Alpine climbing under Nepal Mountaineering Association for the more adventurous traveler. Among them Singu Chuli (Fluted peak) is one is the papular and beuatiful peak to scale in your lifetime. Singu Chuli (6,501 m.) was formerly known as Fluted Peak, which is most popular among the trekking peaks. This peak rises just near by Tent peak in Annapurna Himalayan range. The first ascent of this peak was made by Wilf Noyce and David Cox on its North?East Face and the top section of the East Ridge. This mountain has proven to be very difficult to climb for most commercial climbing groups who have tried to concentrate on Tent Peak.Singu Chuli is the first summit on the long ridge thrown down from Tarke Kang (Glacier Dome), which separates the South and West Annapurna Glaciers. Annapurna South Base Camp provides the best distant view of the mountain. To date, apart from the original route, most efforts to climb this mountain have concentrated on the face and ridges seen from this viewpoint. The southwest ridge of the mountain connects with Tent Peak. The terrain between the two mountains is a confusing one and the ridge is not straight. Please beware that the area is stone falling prone area and the peak is technically very difficult to climb. Due to global warming, the landslide occurs numerous times resulting in the change of the route.

Expenses For Singu Chuli Fluted Peak Climbing: The cost for trip to climb Singu Chuli will depend on several different factors. The types of accommodation you prefer in Kathmandu and Annapurna base camp trek will make a difference to the overall cost (Budget to 5 star accommodations). The mode of transport you prefer will also affect the cost of your Himalayan peak climbing trip, for example prices vary greatly between flying versus private car/van. The size of climbing team as well number of climbing guide and porters required will also affect the total cost of the expedition.
