Makalu Trekking is choice for those adventurous lover who want to explore most amazing and unseen scenery of eastern Nepal Himalayas. Arun Valley is an unimaginable area and it is famous for both the culture and nature. This area is a naturalist's paradise and it is teeming with many precious plants, animals (such as wolves, lynx, fox and the elusive snow leopard) and birds are the significant part of Himalayan environment and ecosystem.

The trek starts with a flight from Kathmandu to Biratnagar and drive to Hile. From Tumlingtar by walking north, up the Arun river, Sedwa and Num, crossing Shipton La (4127m) into upper Barun Khola valley for a close look at Makalu(8475m.) and chamlang (7290m.). The trek to Makalu base camp visits one of the most remote and unfrequented areas of Nepal.
